What kind of ship design?

Are e looking for big cinematic ships, or small stealthy ships?

Are we talking futuristic air-combat technologies, or something within reach of our own technology?

While all armies have a 'mother-ship' to return to for resupply, what is the standard ship used in most encounters? Something like a fighter plane, or something bigger?

When a ship launches an attack on another ship, does it launch bullet...a missiles...or a SALVO of missiles? Or maybe that all depends on the class of ship? ...

General Updates

I figured it would be good to have a place to leave a post saying whether something will be delayed or just to give a reason for why things aren't done, or whether someone will be away for a while and so on.. So instead of making a hundred new posts, they can all go here.

Starting off, my apologies for everything being so dead lately. Life's just been hectic as hell and well, I'm still trying to regain my artistic abilities. It seems I can't draw any ship designs properly, and my 3D ...

Choosing a programming language

I've been looking at our options as far as programming language/platform goes, and here what I've come up with...

1) We plan on using low-poly models (with moderate amounts of polys for the terrain), we can use sky-boxes from terragen, and I can create some algorithms for volumetric dynamic clouds. If we follow this approach the game would be low-poly (what some would call "low quality") but still have a relativly nice graphical appeal. We can use a program by the name of VizUp ...

Human Ship Design,

I said I would draw up some concepts, and I have been working on them. (Though, my abilities with art seem to have left me somewhere along the way :X)

Then I realised my scanner doesn't work. As a quick alternative..

Imagine something somewhat like this for the humans. This would most closely resemble a Class 3 ship, a carrier. Imagine hangar openings and runways up top. Ship design fairly similiar, though. The second human army has a much more sleek approach to ship design, ...

Regarding studio/team name,

If all turns out well with this project (or even okay.), I'd be happy to continue working on games with you. As such, were gonna' need a name right? Legalities aside, I think we should compile a list of some sort, or choose out a couple of possible names. That is, assuming of course you like the idea of it at all.

Either way, we need a name to release this under anyway (not to mention the game itself needs a name, but we'll have to figure that out later too :X), and I asked about "KriegHeld" ...
